Sanjay Lake has secured his first green ball title.

Lake joined the fray, and began dominating with his first victory to the top seed in the draw Mathew George 6-3, he then went on to defeat Reggie Weeks 6-0.

Lake is  student of the Methodist Primary School and a member of the Acers Tennis Club coached by Scyla Murray and Thaddeus Emile. He is the green ball club finalist but has now made his  statement in the Summer Slam Tennis Tournament winning the singles and doubles titles. 

He advanced to the main draw securing the top spot in his group defeating all his opponents in the round robin phase, the final person being Dante Joseph 6-1. Lake continued his battle to the semi-final round playing Aidan Rosemond.  Rosemond broke Lake in the first game, he then held serve and  went up 2-0. Lake who had a slow start simmered up and started exercising his skills on his opponent. He leveled the score 2-2 and just pressed on with limited errors executing and winning every game played. He did not allow Rosemond to win any more games in the entire match. He made his way to the final winning the match to Rosemond at 6-2.

His final combat would have been against Mathew George for the championship, George he had defeated earlier in the tournament, but George was unable to compete for the championship due to a leg injury, Lake was announced the champion of the green ball.
