Team St Lucia on their way to the Billie Jean King Cup qualifiers in Santo Domingo

Iyana Paul, Jessica Eudovic and Latoya Murray represents St. Lucia at the Billie Jean King Cup qualifiers in Santo Domingo.

The most prestigious event in junior tennis in the world will be contested by three St. Lucians currently in the Dominican Republic vying for a spot in the main event at this years Billie Jean King Cup Tennis Tournament.

The registered teams are; Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, Costa Rica, Cayman Islands, Cuba,  Curacao, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Jamaica, Nicaragua, Panama, Puerto Rico, Trinidad & Tobago and The U.S. Virgin Islands.

Representing St Lucia at racket one is Iyana Paul student of the Leon Hess Comprehensive Secondary School, Racket 2 Jessica Eudovic based in the United States and racket three Latoya Murray student of the Babonneau Secondary School. The team is being captained by Coach Scyla Murray of the St. Lucia Tennis Association.

This is the first time St. Lucia will be represented at the BJKC Tennis Tournament and we are anticipating that the team will be successful in their endeavors.

 The Tennis Association wishes to express sincere gratitude to the St. Lucia Olympic Committee for their ongoing support to the sport of tennis and the development of our athletes always ensuring we are current and ready to represent St. Lucia on the regional and international scene. 

Also partnering with the Tennis Association is the National Lotteries Authority, we thank you for your commitment to this team, we appreciate your consistent assistance given to our development programs and thank you for allowing our juniors to represent St. Lucia once again on the regional scene. 

Play starts on Sunday 6th March, we wish the team well and will keep you updated on their progress.
