Denney Estava and Sanjay Lake Set Sights on Regional Glory

Saint Lucia's rising tennis stars, Denney Estava and Sanjay Lake, departed the island yesterday to compete in two prestigious junior tournaments within the region. Their journey begins with the Powerade Cup in Barbados, taking place from April 5th to 10th, followed by the highly anticipated Trinity Cup in Trinidad from April 12th to 17th.
Both events are pivotal for the young athletes, as they will be competing for valuable COTECC ranking points, crucial at this stage of their development. Denny Estava, currently ranked 21st in the Caribbean and Central America, is looking to build on his momentum, while Sanjay Lake aims to make his mark on the regional scene.

The Acers Tennis Academy, which both players represent, has been instrumental in preparing the duo for these competitions. Their commitment and discipline leading up to the tournaments have been commendable, and the entire Saint Lucian tennis fraternity anticipates strong performances.
This campaign would not have been possible without the generous support of the Oliver Gobat Sports Fund, whose assistance in covering flights and other key expenses has been vital. We also extend heartfelt thanks to the parents of these athletes, whose unwavering support continues to shape their success.
We are immensely proud of Denney and Sanjay for representing Saint Lucia with distinction. Their participation is a testament to the strength of our junior development program, and we look forward to seeing them excel on the regional stage.
